Fahrenheit

I’m awake in the wee hours with Pigeon, who has a fever. Monkey played with the thermometer, so now it’s stuck in Celsius, so I have to do math. 38.9, not too high, right? Right . And I love math... sometimes. Right now I just want to know if it’s high enough to worry without having to translate back to the weird American only scale that I have culturally absorbed since childhood.

Also, the daycare dilemma. I hired a babysitter yesterday and kept her home, but she didn’t have a fever. Now she has a fever again so the rules say no daycare for another 24 hours. But I don’t have a babysitter arranged, and she got this cold at daycare anyway. Probably just going to give ibuprofen and drop her off.
